Oasis Mosaic is an interactive video installation which was presented at the Neve-Shaanan neighborhood as part of the “Nightlight” festival on December 2014.
All “video-stills” were taken in the Neve Shaanan neighborhood (“Neve” literally means Oasis in Hebrew) home for the majority of illegal immigrants living in Tel Aviv city.
Using a midi piano keyboard visitors were invited to “play” on the various keys of the organ keyboard, activating a different video loop thus creating a human and spatial mosaic of the Neve Sha’anan neighborhood.
This social visual mosaic was projected over a 6 meters tall building wall at the heart of the neighborhood.
